Visual Identity and Poster – “Mulheres, às Armas” (TVI)

Sentieiro Studio created the visual identity and official poster for “Mulheres, às Armas”, a new TVI miniseries set in the 1970s. The story follows four textile factory workers who form a powerful bond while confronting inequality and abuse in the final years of Portugal’s dictatorship.

Though fictional, the characters are inspired by countless untold stories of anonymous women who played a vital role in resisting the Estado Novo regime. The series reminds us that while the Carnation Revolution was led by the April captains, it was also driven by the women in their lives — mothers, daughters, and partners.

We drew from 1970s visual aesthetics and reinterpreted them through a contemporary lens to reflect the series’ ongoing relevance. Themes such as workplace harassment, gender inequality, and the fight for human rights are central to both the narrative and our design approach.
